About the event
When does social drinking cross the line and become problem? How do we know when someone has a problem with use of alcohol or drugs? While an addiction may range from mild to severe, it tends to worsen over time. Unfortunately, many people do not get needed treatment. Learning to recognize the signs and symptoms of addiction (substance use disorders) helps individuals and families to seek help before the disease progresses in severity. Along with the Dry January health initiative, this webinar is aimed at inviting all of us to take note of the risk alcohol or drugs poses in our own lives, within our families, and in the community.
During this webinar, you will:
Increase awareness of addiction as a progressive disease
Identify signs and symptoms addiction (substance use disorders)
Learn about substance use risk factors for teens
Gain understanding of why people don’t get needed treatment
